How this service works
- You tell us about the job. Name, phone, your ZIP or neighborhood, what you need and how soon. That's all.
- We pick one local pro. We send your request to one independent tree service that covers your area and the type of work you need.
- They contact you. The pro calls or texts you about your request, usually to set up an on-site estimate. Price and scheduling are between you and them.
- You decide. There's no obligation. If it isn't a fit, you don't have to hire them.
About this service
Tallahassee Tree Match is a lead-matching website for the Tallahassee area. We are not a tree company. We don't have crews or equipment, we don't do any tree work, and we don't employ or supervise the businesses we refer. We don't hold contractor licenses, and we don't claim any.
How we are paid: the tree service we match you with may pay us a fee for the referral. You never pay us anything.
One business per request: we sell each lead to only one business. Your details are not posted to a marketplace or blasted to several companies.
Tips for hiring any tree service
- Ask for a certificate of liability insurance and, for crews, workers' compensation, before anyone climbs.
- For risk assessments, or the hazard-tree documentation under Fla. Stat. 163.045, ask for an ISA-certified arborist. You can verify an ISA certification.
- Get the quote in writing: removal, stump, cleanup, hauling and wood all listed.
- Ask who handles permits if your tree may be protected (over 36" in diameter inside city limits, near a canopy road, or in a wetland).
- Be wary of door-to-door "storm chasers" asking for large payments up front.
